I was planning on upgrading my computer mine is pretty old about 3 1/2 years and struggles to play some games -.-
I don't want to spend A LOT of money because I need to upgrade 2 my wife and I were old school snes gamers so runnin on low graphics don't bother us much.
This is what we have now
Amd Athlon 1.8ghz
Amd Athlon 1.7ghz
Nvidia gforce 5600 ultra
Radeon ATI 9800 Pro
Kingston 516 mb x2 3 year old stuff so not even sure what kind.
Kingston 516 mb x1 ""
Some 20$ motherboards we got cheap off newegg because old motherboards died.
I am so out of touch with the new stuff out now that I really don't know what is available. Like I said we really trying to stay under 500$ each 1k for both.

It ends up being about 470$ each with the rebates. So what I would like from others here is if they know stuff that is either slightly worse much cheaper or alot better and only slightly more expensive.
What we want is just to be able to play Conan on med graphics new game coming out basically graphics along the lines of Age of Oblivion. Without having any lag or slowdowns. Any help or advice wold be greatly appreciated.
(want to have this order b4 end of the week so after a couple days I will order the above or maybe some other things depending on what is recommended.

My wifes comp probably will need a new power supply as well so any suggestions on that would be cool also. 400-500w??
We will be keeping our old hardrives they only about a year old 80gb ide western digital i think. Keeping monitors 17inch flat screens still work great. Peripherals not needed either.
