Is this worth it:
2.4 Ghz P4 ,256 Mb 2700 266 mhz ,40Gb seagate, 64 MB vid card AGP (50$)
5200 Vertigo FX vid card (80$)
512 Mb RAM (76$)
and various side parts soon to add:
Case fan (10$)
350 Watt PS unit(45$)
new Case(free-150$)

Current: 206$
With updates:roughly 350+

Should I add these upgrades on, or is my system a good deal the way it is?

I paid 50$ for the base system so I figured since I had 160$ in my pocket instead of buiild A new console why not just upgrade? My pent4 runs better than my parents AMD3500+ 2.2 Ghz, I mean the proceesing is so smoth its a great gaming processor! so was that a waste of money?

yeah, only the dual core and maybe a stick of ram, not an entire rig

go for it, 350 is nothing for upgrading a computer.

Actually Ronco, I built my friend a computer, dual core, 1gb ram, motherbaord, PSU, case, cd drive, harddrive, graphics card, came to 293.17$ on newegg. Runs great too : )

Can I change My processor? I have a 310S gateway its a 478 Socket what is the max AMD I can put in it?

well socket 478 can take all they way up to P4 ht edition but depends on that board can handle
