The Total is $435.95.( before mail-in-rebate)
Trying to keep my BUDGET under $500 for a future upgrade graphic card. friend gave me a PALIT 9600GSO 384RAM PCI E graphic card for free but idk if it will fit on the new motherboard

Is this a good for standard non overclocking build(Have no idea how to overclock comps)? Is there any changes i should made?
I only play some CS:S, Medieval II: Total War, Sims 3, DOTA, left 4 dead:2 and some crossfire.

My current ancient computer with an ASUS P4P800 SE motherboard can play none of those with a good FPS =(

EDIT- and i love to multitask; Such as alt tabbing while gaming for AIM, web surfing, and watching video/movies+itunes.

Thanks mutant!

and is PALIT 9600GSO 384RAM PCI-E a decent GPU and will it fit on the motherboard?

No problem :)

Yeah, it'll fit fine. And PCIe x16 card can be put into any x16 slot.

And actually, they'll work in x8, x4, and x1 slots as well, just at slower speeds...the only problem is that they usually won't fit. It's not uncommon for motherboard manufacturers to add a second(or 3rd) PCIe x16 slot to a motherboard that is, electrically, actually only an x4. This one is like that..the 3rd(orange) one is only x4:

Another common thing, again found on that mobo, is for two PCIe 2.0 x16 slots to share bandwidth. when only one graphics card is installed, it runs at 16x speed, but when a card is in the second slot it takes half of the connections from the first, and they both run at x8. Pretty strange, but ingenious as well.

If you are into multitasking alot and not really into overclocking you may want to have a look at different processors. That one will definitely be fine for you but I think you can find a better one to more fit your needs.

Well I guess I should first ask are you or do you think you would be interested in overclocking. I know it said you aren't an overclocker but that was because you don't know how now. That processor is a black edition which is made for overclocking because it has an unlocked multiplier. I guess the same processor but non-black edition is really only like 15 bucks cheaper so I guess its really not much of a difference but you could go with a quad core non black edition like the Athlon II x4's for pretty much the same price as the one you selected.

If though you think you may want to give overclocking a whirl that is a great processor to try it out on. You may even get lucky and get a good processor that you can unlock the other cores and get them stable so you can get a quad core Phenom II black edition. :D:D

Its not a bad PC. Looks like it can run pretty much atleast all games on medium!
