Hey I have sifted through this forum for some time now and am finally making my first post. I decided to build an AMD based gaming system and was hoping I could get some input from everybody. Suggestions would be much appreciated.

ASUS M2N32-SLI

RAM:
CORSAIR XMS2 2GB

Video Card:
XFX Geforce 8800 GTX (mmm... I know its a bit overkill... I don't really care though)

That power supply is huge!!! Do you plan on SLi'ing it in the future? Everything looks good. It's a lot of money you're spending.

Here's my ideal config if I were to build today:

PSU:
anything over 550watts

Intel Core 2 Extreme X6800 Conroe 2.93GHz 4M sharing L2 Cache LGA 775 Processor

eVGA 122-CK-NF68-AR Socket T (LGA 775) NVIDIA nForce 680i SLI ATX Intel Motherboard

eVGA 768-P2-N831-AR GeForce 8800GTX 768MB 384-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP Video Card

CORSAIR XMS2 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory/ DHX (Dual-path Heat Xchange), EPP (Enhanced Performance Profiles), SLI certified

Man, I love eVGA...Overall, I feel this combination would do fine in the overclocking field. Get ready for 4GHz +, lol. I think it would do pretty good at gaming. Imagine adding another video card to this beast.

Unless you are a Hardcore AMD fan I suggest you go with what TDRCorolla said Intel Core 2 Extreme X6800 Conroe 2.93GHz 4M sharing L2 Cache LGA 775 Processor That processor will KILL the 5200+. Intel Owns the high end market right now.

trudat.
but uh, if you're happy with your build, it'll work, you just need an HDD optical drives and a operating system. that's a nice powersupply :D
