My computer won't sleep

Everytime i put my computer on stand by, it always wakes up on its own. Sometimes 15 minutes later , sometimes 1 hour later. I don't have any automatic programs running or scheduled programs.
I don;t want to turn off my computer which i've been told is not good since i use it everyday. Constantly turning it off and on everyday is bad, right?

I don't see how turning on and off your computer is bad... I've been doing it for 9 years.

Sometimes electrical interference can cause this, i had one mate who had a lamp plugged into the same 4 way socket as the computer and that used to wake his pc up. Any surge will do this
