Well, it seems he wants the best and having 2 3870X2s is actually cheaper than buying ULTRAs in SLI, and will yield more performance and probably consume less power. The 3870x2 is available for around $450-500.

thats instead of getting 2 Gb DDR3 which will cost u around $500

that will destroy n e DDR3 RAM u will buy and the performance diff will be incredible especially with that best of a CPU

ssc456 is right, DDR3 is not yet perfect and the timings and prices are crazy. 4GB is more than enough right now. Get 2x2GB so you can upgrade later.

4Gb would do very nicely indeed and most of us would be very satisfied im jus thinking if he is willing to spend $500 on 2Gb he shud spend $400 on 8Gb

BTW what do u plan on doing with this thing?, i mean a terabyte is that necassesary. the only way i can think of filling up anything close to a terabyte is like 20+ games and a jillion songs.
