Hello :)
Im hopeing somebody may be able to offer some advice on my problem with my music burning.

When I record any music (mp3/Wma etc) to Cd.. it only ever burns as .cda files - for example:

Also I notice If I burn my music as a data disc - it records fine (as mp3's).

The problem seems to be only when I try burn any audio file & try to create a Audio Cd :( .. When I put my mp3s onto nero.. click burn & it always just burns them as .cda files.

Ive tried 5 other burning software & the exact same thing happens.

Additional information:

When I burn DVD files, everything works fine.
Ive tried burning at different speeds - always the same outcome.
Ive recently changed to a sata hard drive (since then ive had this problem).

Thankyou in advance for any help/advice offered

What do you need them to be mp3?

I just need them to be any format so I can listen to my burnt Cd on cd players, they just are in mp3 format when I recieve them. Then once I try burn them.. they turn into .cda files.

I just need the cd burner to burn the music files & keep them as they are, not turn every music file I try burn into a .cda file :(

I can't think of anything else to try

Hmmm. Go to like advanced settings. I haven't used nero yet. What happens when you try another burning software?

If you burnt as a Audio disc, they should play in CD players.

Do note, some CD players do not like burnt discs, and it really depends on the disc you used to burn with.

Is it CD-R or a CD-RW for example?
