Motherboard Question

Hey Computer Forums,

I am recently new to computer building and I had a quick question. My NZXT case has to be RMA but my computer is already built. So if I put my motherboard in a large box and leave it close on a desk, will all my components stay safe? If not, what is the best way to keep my computer safe while waiting on a new case?

just leave them sitting on a non conductive surface away from lint, dust, and anything that can make a spark like carpets.

some people dont even use a case for there computer.
