Motherboard doesn't have that square 4 pin socket, But PSU does ?!?

Hi, was just wondering why my PSU has come with that square 4 pin plug on the end of 4 wires (most yellow), but the motherboard doesn't have the socket for it (which is usually under the cpu socket somewhere). Does this mean i have bought the wrong type, or can i just leave it and tuck it somewhere out the way. Thanks...

Nah. That's something for AGP Pro if I remember correctly. Some Mobo's have ports for them, some don't. No real difference. As long as it's a standard ATX your fine

ah no that is the extra power connector that is needed to power motherboards with pentium 4s

You sure? I know most motherboards anymore use it for that, but I thought the original purpose was for video power... *shrugs*

ya It's a second motherboard power connector...for those power hungry cpu's. If your mobo doesn't have one, it's fine....just tuck it up out of the way.
