Hey guys, I'm building my first computer and I recently came across something confusing to understand. So, the motherboard I'm getting is "ASRock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3 LGA 1155 Intel Z68 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard" . I was wondering if the motherboard supported PCI express slot 2.0 x 16 ? Since it is not displayed on the details, but it talks about PCIE 2.0 x 16 under the PCIE 3.0 x 16 description .

The ASRock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3 has two pci express 3 slots and pci express 3.0 is backward compatible with pci express 2.0.
