Monitor displays one second then becomes black

I have a Envision EN 7100si (my secondary monitor). Everything was working fine, then I decided to take a nap. When I woke up, I moved my mouse to exit the "turn off monitor after XX time" thing. The monitor flashes the desktop for about half a second (everything looks normal during that half a second), then it becomes black. When I press the power to turn it off then back on, it does the same thing. When I restart my computer (without touching the monitor) it does the same thing.

What could be the problem? Is it the backlight?
If it is the blacklight, then shouldn't I not see the half of second display?

I am thinking graphics card, or display settings. Check drivers and settings. Also, if you don't have this problem with a different monitor using the SAME graphics card port, then it's a problem with the monitor itself. For that... replacement.
