Modem or something else???

I just recently got a new PC and only have 56K for now but the modem thinks the phone line is busy when it isn't i've tryed a new modem but still thinks is busy anyone know why?

Specs:
2.8GHz HT P4
256 RAM
Win XP
80 Gig HDD

Your phone line could be jacked but i doubt it, sorry!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jacked YEA RIGHT! its not the modem because i tried a new one but it is something else i don't know, When i dial to connect and have to wait like normal to connect it just says " Phone line is busy"

Try updating you drivers, My old 56k modem i bought this year didnt even work out of the box. Cuz the drivers sucked

I spent days looking for drivers. I eventually payed some site that makes better drivers.

So if you can find new drivers that should probably fix things up nicely.
