Laser with affordable toner

Friend is looking at a laser, not sure if she wants colour, or mono. Main thing is cost of toner carts, if they're expensive relative to the printer, or low capacity, need some info about what make/models are good value for money.

I have a HP CP1525n. OK price or quite expensive? I think a complete set of genuine HP toners (4) is about £100. bit cheaper for recycled ones. About £35-£45 for black 2K
