laptop top to hifi

hey, ive got loads music on my laptop and wondered if it is possible to get the music to play through my hifi speakers, it is only a midi hifi so it does not have any phono ports. so jack to phono obviously wont work. is there anything else like maybe a jack to wire speaker type thing?

Hi, it should be possible.

Have you got any inputs to the hifi? Line in for example?

I'm afraid if nothing like this is available, because the speakers will be analog controlled using wires with +/- going into the back, you won't be able to connect these directly to your laptop and so will have to go through an amp of some sort before hand.
