Laptop HDD question

I currently have an WD 320GB 5400RPM 8MB cache (I think). The HDD has some bad sectors, so I am buying a new HDD, and have a couple of question.

I'm currently looking at 2 HDD right now. The first one is Seagate Momentus 500GB for $49.99. The second HDD is the Samsung Spinpoint MP4 320GB for $54.99.

Which one will give me a better performance? Which one will you guys suggest?

The Samsung appears to be the faster drive of the two. Seagates are crap anyway. Sorry Seagate fans, I've just had too many bad experiences with Seagate drives.
