laptop cant connect to internet

im not sure if this is in the right section but after we got our new router, the dlink DIR-825, my laptop hast been able to connect to the internet, its either had "limited or no connectivity", wouldn't connect at all, or its had a balloon pop up at the bottom telling me that it cant find some kind of certificate to log me in.. can anyone fix this for me?

Did you previously have it hooked up to a router at your house and you just got a new one or is it new altogether?

its a Toshiba A75 i had it connected to a previous router and i just got a new one

Make sure you're not using the password you used to connect to the old on.

it basically means you cant get an ip address.. either your router wont allow it (DHCP isnt enabled), you didnt enter the right password, your too far away, or needs to be restarted.

I will need some more information to definitely get it working:

1. Did you configure your router at all? If you did, is the SSID the same as your last? Is the security the same as your last one? Did you change the network key?

2. What is your operating system?

3. Is your wireless card fully updated?

the other vista laptop was able to connect though
