IP addresses and myspace.

Someone claims to have gotten my ip address from a myspace message i sent from a fake account which i deleted after they read the message.

now the question i have is, can they obtain my actual home address, or the account holders name of the account on the isp, which is comcast.

i'm aware they can get my city from the ip address which does not worry me.
however would comcast give out any information?

after i read they they were gonna get my ip, or already had it, i got a new ip address via command line. however i'm still a little worried.

They can get the city, but no more than that. Unless they apply for a subpoena in court, there is no way they would get your personal invo from comcast.

i suppose i will throw one more question up while i'm at it.
if you search on google for your ip address, a whole bunch of sites pop up saying its "xxxxxxxxxx" however from the command line, it says my ip address is something different. what is that all about?

your command line address is your local ip, for your home network(all people who use there LAN to access the internet have a network) it doesnt go outside of what is connected to all your modems, routers, switches, repeaters, etc.
