intel mobo chipsets

there is currently no SLI support on Intel chipsets. Only i955x and i975x support xfire. But its not x8 x8 on the i955x. It is on the i975x though.

I dont think the "i" infront of the 975 is necessary.

anyways the 975 is the latest, its very competitive now, because most boards with the 975 chipset also support crossfire.

at the end of the day, amd is better so you dont need to wory about intel supported products.

At the end of the year, Intel will be better. Just wait and see. heehhe.
haha. nice one :D

so why do intel mobos support xfire, not sli?

oh yeah, when conroe and the rest of the new intels come out, will they use socket T? and will they redo the way they make motherboards? maybe something more simple, like AMD's?

LGA775 as usual. It doesnt support SLI cuz Nvidia complains how there isnt enough bandwidth. Intel motherboards are just as smiple as AMDs. Nothing too hard about it.

so i can stick a conroe in where my pentium 4 is right now????

no, you cant, no motherboard out right now supports Conroe unless its the Intel 975x Rev 304 motherboard. Other than that, you are out of luck.

ugh. they should just make a new socket (maybe just change the numb of pins) so that ppl dont try to put new chips on old motherboards.
