I was just wondering is the Intel Pentium M part of the x86 family or not? I'm going downloading the ubuntu os and i'm not sure if it's the x86 version i should use or not.

Yes, the Pentium M uses the x86 architecture. It's sort of like a hybrid CPU of a Pentium 3 and Pentium 4 combined with SpeedStep technology.

The Pentium M is a sweet little processor, and yes, it uses the x86 architecture.
