Ok so I been using my WD Raptor for a couple of weeks now fast little bugger 
but I reazlize with only 36gig its not enough space to store music and movies I copy form my DVD's.
So I plugged in my old Maxtor 9 IDE HD and reformatted it in MYcomputer for storage. But my windows screen is a lot faster and file transfer is a lot faster ... Liek when the blue bar goes across... how come? the maxtor is only rated at 72kRPM and is a ATA133 compared to my WD Raptor SATA at 10kRPM.
And I know that its not setted in RAID 0 or anything liek that cuase when I first installed the OS on the WD raptor I didnt choose the RAID drivers Only the ATA ones since I didnt have a extra raptor to raid it with ... or is it setted when I plugged back in the IDE...?
I am not complaining on the faster load up speed lol jsut wanna know whats going on with my rig...
