Hyper-Threading

I got a new computer and it has Hyper-Threading and I was wonder what that is exactly?

sometimes......but it can turn good to bad during some tasks. Many people turn it off

OK I see that. So what kinda tasks is it bad for so I know if I should turn it off or leave it on?

NEVER turn it off. It's the best feature of the processor. When you run more than one task or others, say norton run in the background. It doesn't affect your work, no slowdown.

I can run two folding programs at once, download things from the net, scan my computer and play Farcry at the sametime. SWEET
