I want to have a computer to control all of the media in my living room but not sure if I can do that properly with an anologue TV. Have no expierence with it so I would like to know what I can expect or what I need.

you need a graphics card with tv out. then a lead connect 2 together. probably tv-out will be s-video so you will need s-video to s-video if your tv has 1. if not s-video to scart. check here www.cableuniverse.com

You can get an ATI All-IN-WONDER which even have a remote control.

Will the TV display properly from the computer even if it anolgue was really my question.

Yes of course. Everything has been thought; you can plug it in your VCR_TV AUDIO/VIDEO IN and what you will see on your desktop you will see on your TV. Is you set your secondary display in clone Theater mode, you will be able to watch a movie from your computer on your TV and still be able to browse on the net.
