How to get film stills?

Hey, I want to take decent film stills of a movie, how do I do so? I have Windows me by the way...

In QuickTime Player, you can copy the current frame in a video, paste it in an image program and save it, but it can only play a limited number of formats, so it's not the best solution.

Quicktime doesn't load DVDs....

uhhh heres my solution, stop the movie on the frame you want in whatever your playing it in. And just hit the

Scrn
SysRq

button, then open a image editing program, and pressing control v.

Mayorredbread, that doesn't work. The screen turns black.

as long as you dont have it set to full screen it doesn't. You can just stretch it as big as you want, take the screenshot, edit out everything but the film still, and voila. And if you want, you can even use photoshop (if you dont have it send me the still frame, check the lil buttons for my contact info), and ill make it %125 bigger. Since photoshop has that making photos %125 bigger without quality loss.

EDIT: nevermind, when ever i try to edit it it gets messed up. how do you delete threads?
