ive recently been looking into buying a new video card. i was looking at the 6600gt 128mb 8x agp ( http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1121824&CatId=880 )
but im not quite sure if i have PCI express slots... i look on my motherboard and i see 3 slots that look like this...

so dose that mean i can buy a PCI express card?
and is it really worth the extra money to buy a PCI card, besides the fact that you can make it SLi, like is there that much of a difference in performance.
same card but in PCI with SLi ready.

is it worth the extra money? ( i wont be setting it up with SLi)
im trying to get optimal performance on Call of Duty:UO and Call of Duty:2 when it comes out. preferably above 300fps.
so should i get the 6600gt agp or the 6600gt pci?
(Im in Canada so thats why prices seem so high)

nope ... normal pci slots. PCI-E slots look like a cross between those pci slots and an agp slot. A PCI-E slot will have a snap lock like the agp slot has, but still look very similar to a pci slot.

Over 300FPS? You probally wouldn't notice much difference once you reach 60-100.. lol.

I think a 6600GT is great, but if you'd like to and have the money for it, try a 6800GT because it'll last longer as far as being able to play newer games with high settings.

As far as an AGP and PCI-E slot.. theres not too much difference between the two. PCI-E is supposed to be better I believe, because of 16X rather than AGP (4-8), but thats fine. Many people use an AGP slot and are happy with it.. so don't fret. Just use what your motherboard will allow you to.. :)

you're going to have to have an agp card, those are regular pci slots. and as far as sli goes, even if you did have pci-e you couldn't just plug 2 sli cards in, you have to have an sli motherboard.
don't get a pci vid card, stick with agp.
