How to convert an AVI file to run on any old DVD player.

O.k i have just got hold of this AVI file (Alex Jones, Terrorstorm, you must watch it. you will loose all confidence in the British and American Government)

i would like to convert it into a DVD that can play on any old crappy DVD player so that my friends can watch it. what do i need to do these from the software to the type of DVD that i need to burn it on? thank you all

The one problem that I can see is that if your friends' computers can play DVD-R's or DVD+R's or any burnt DVD at all. If they can't, there's nothing you can do.

By the way, what you're doing is illegal, not that I'm gunna report you or anything ;].

Burn it onto a dvd-r, get a converter, to convert from avi to mpeg, the best one to me is, nero visioon..you can add menus and stuff, preety good program.
