everything will be running in vista home premium, and its 3 HDD's(i have already a 250gb on my current computer which i will reuse) and 4gb of memory i plan on buying

Well, it is an OK build.

The things I would correct are:

1. The mobo. Go with eVGA 680i. Any one of those will be great (Careful with the nf63 chipset, which doesn't OC q-cores that well). The one you chose is good, but the 680i's are just an enthusiast's dream. Ask celegorm, or any number of users.
2. The GPU. For only like 100 more, you can get yourself a nice 8800gts 640mb. That will future-proof your computer for much longer than the 8600 you chose. It will also make a gigantic difference in FPS. Check out benchmarks on Tom's hardware.
3. That cooler is pretty bad. Go with an Zalman 9700, or with a Tuniq Tower 120. Both are great aftermarket HSFs that will serve you very well. There is a third one but I cannot recall the name.

if you dont decide to get the 8800, dont get the 512mb version, it wont improve performance that much, because RAM wont help too much on high res's on that gpu.

also get a creative labs sound card, there the best other than those really expensive ones.

It isn't the easiest to install though. Having a screwdriver with a large handle helps a lot.

@ OP

Whilst I apprecite the effort you have put in to post all those links a simple description of each component in addition to the links would be nice, I'd like to comment on your projected build but I'll be buggered if I'm going to click on nine seperate links to discover your choices.

:)

@ Thelis, Antec 9700?? or Zalman 9700???
