HELP..Maxtor 300GB internal HD Problem....

I have windows on 1 hard drive and all my media on a maxtor 300GB internal HD. I reinstalled XP today, deleting the partition to my primary hard drive and creating a new one. I did not mess with the maxtor 300 but when i got XP on, the drive shows up in my computer but when i try to open it, a message comes up saying "drive d: is not formatted, would you like to format?"
I dont think i could have lossed all my stuff as i never formatted the drive.
What do i need to do to make the drive work and retrieve all my files, if possible?

ahhhh...nevermind...SP2 did the trick

Lol... That's the prob. with most new drives is that they gey partitioned , but some never get formatted, during the install of windows..

therefore your comp. can't read from it properly...
But non the less, glad you worked it out.
