You pretty much don't. It recognizes the controller as a device. Look in your BIOS to see if you can disable the floppy controller. Other than that, I can't think of anything. If it's not hurting anything, why the need to remove it?
Well, I spoke too soon. I just found this:
Open regedit and nevigate to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Policies\Explorer
Create a new DWORD value, NoViewOnDrive and set its value 3.
You can also use TweakUI to show which drives are listed.
