Okay, this has been bugging me for quite a while.
I have an old pc, and whenever I turn it on,
it goes for a while and shuts off.. and does this over and over..
It never just completely stops turning off, just always turns on and shuts down.
That isn't the only problem, I can plug the Monitor into my Videocard,
but it never turns on and loads.. It says that there is a signal, but I never get any picture.
How can I fix this? Someone PLEASE help me.

I doubt anyone can fix it here without looking at it, personally if it is an old computer (like in the era of 95) then it is best to just throw it away or sell it.What type of comp is it and explain better what is what it is doing on start up.

Okay.. It's a P4 3.2 GHz with a 7800 GS CO superclocked video card, 500 Watt Codegen PSU, 1.5 Gig of Kingston RAM, a PN800 Pro Motherboard, and it was bought in 2004.

Ohh, and as for what happens on startup.. I turn it on, the monitor isn't giving picture so I can't see anything, about 40 seconds later, it just shuts off..

Could be a loose connection, could be faulty power supply, could be overheating, faulty graphics card.

There's that red led light on my mobo, which means the loose or faulty connection correct?
