i have a AMD athlon 550mhz, with 128 mb ram and an old graphic card.
i do have an agp 2* slot which will accept most moderate quality agp cards. I am wonder what would be better a 128mb ati radeon 9200se or a 9250 256mb

my concern is the extra memory wont do anything, unless i udgrape my memory
WHAT SHOULD I DO??????

get the 9250. ATI SE cards are the worst in its class (9800se performs like a low class 9600 card)

I can see you really need to get more ram!!! but like I said in your other thread, your processor gives instructions to your vid card so if your processor isnt fast enough it wont be able to keep up , thus limiting your vid cards performance

upgrade your RAM to 256 (or 512 mb if you can afford it) for humans sake.

you should look into upgradinng your processor to like a amd duron 1ghz which will cost you under 100 bucks or a low p4 for about the same price

hope this helps

Get an MX4000 by nVidia, going by your processor, this GPU wont bottleneck you at all, but do get some more RAM. I presume it is SDRAM PC100, so here is link to BOTH

Good card for $45, and it has decent ratings, also a pretty good company as well.

OR TRY THIS ONE WITH BETTER COOLING- http://www.imagestore.us/product.asp?pf_id=HYMX44-128DH&dept_id=06-005

RAM- http://www.zmaxtech.com/itemdesc.asp?CartId=1-EVEREST-1703040FYQLL30&ic=KTM3304/256
BTW- If you decide to order this, get 2 of these ram sticks or something. If you get only one stick, then do this

RAM 512MB- http://www.monarchcomputer.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=M&Product_Code=140398

HOPE THIS HELPS.
