ive just brought a new base unit, specs are:

is that a good buy for £55

only thing is there is no operating system, but i have a disk to sort that problem out :)
 
Thats a decent purchase, I wouldn't say you got ripped off, or that you found the buy of a century.
 
A very similar deal was on woot.com yesterday.
Yeah, it's a good deal. Pentium 4 gets hot, and is not a powerhorse (at least not anymore)
but it still has hyper threading, so it's still really good for basic web browsing and word processing. Maybe even HTPC.
won't recommend as a main computer, though.
 
Well I guess that could be a good buy, but you are already out of date with everything.
 
that looks like a very good deal, where did u see it, ebay / gumtree / paper ?

I almost paid £90 for a computer system like this a week back
