Getting pissed now..

okay so I just got a 1g stick of ram in the mail. its ddr pc3200. I was using 2 sticks of 512 pc3200 before. when I put one stick of 512 and one stick of 1024 in together it doesnt boot into windows, but if I just put the 1024 stick in it works fine. when I looked in the bios it said everything was fine. can anyone help me? the mobo is an asrock p4i65G btw.

Possibly an incompatibility with the other stick.

What brand are the sticks? The 512 and the 1 gig?

the 512 is nanya and the 1024 is hynix
I also have another 512 that is viking technology

what happens when you mix the 1 gig and the 512 sticks? Does windows cycleboot, just stay at a screen or what?

Also what have you done to try to remedy this? Switch the stick/slot order, checking timings?

it doesnt make it to the boot screen, it just hangs. and the timings are relitively the same.
