Ok, I'm helping my cousing get a new computer.

I see some good deals in Best Buy stores and Comp USA stores and such. They are HP's and such.

But I had a question.

I also see some computers on Ebay, that are like custom built.

Is it safe going with those computers??

Also, are emachines any good??, because there is this very good deal, and it gives a lot of stuff, but its like below $800, yet u get 1 gig ram, 160 HD, and AMD 64 bit 3700 including a monitor

Are they crappy computers??...are their components not good??

I would really appreciate any help!!

Thank You

What are you planning on doing with your computer?

eMachines are good pcs for beginners and buget consumers. They offer decent quality computers at good prices.

The custom built computers on ebay should be safe to buy. Make sure the seller hooked everything up correctly and everything is working properly.

Best Buy and Circuit City does have some pretty good deals on pc's, but I am sure you can find better deals online if you dont mind ordering off the internet.

Building a pc is probably the best way to get the most bang for your buck. It is kind of like needing to get someing on your car fixed. If you bring it to a machanic it will cost your 2-4x what it would have cost you to do it your self.
