First time building a pc,,,please help

what do you mean? :p I'm not saying anything...

a P4 system will be better for what he wants to do :p

Your build looks good and make sure if you buy a comp that your warranties are all in order...and if you want to overclock make sure you can (like make sure the mobo is unlocked) mine isn't and it's a pain.

Yeah, though you shouldnt even have to do that for a while. Its good to know you can though.

i have no idea how to check a motherboard is locked or not though. Are those motherboards I chose on the opposite page unlocked?

By the way, if you were to overclock, Pentium systems are easier to :p Though most people here will say it takes the fun out of overclocking as you only have to raise 1 or 2 values to get a great overclock in bios.

Thats a great card!

Well...I think the bandwidth speeds of the two formats are only just showing now with the latest 7800 card, and so, as time goes on, the AGP 8X will not be able to deliver as much fast speeds as PCI-e cards will be able to, and so AGP 8X cards might be stopped being manufactured for the latest cards for this reason.

So its best to go for PCI-e now, and may I say again...great card! :D

Yeah, the fan is down on any setup (mine is on my AGP 8x motherboard so must be a standard), and think this has been the case for a while :), okay?

kk cool, should i get the P4 3.2ghz with 2mb Cache and 64bit, or 3.4ghz 1mb Cache and no 64bit?
