Figuring Out Which Laptop/Notebook Is Best For Me

The past few days, I've been searching everywhere to find the laptop that I think would be perfect for me, but I'm really lost on what is a good deal and what not...so if anyone could help me, it'd be much appreciated. Some minor things I need are:

-Dvd/Cd Burner
-Lots of Ram/space/whatever
-Wi-fi (I think that's built on on most isn't it?)
-Something between 900-1300 dollars
-Runs great and what not, something dependable
-Maybe a good graphics card.

I really don't know what the best deal is for me. I have an account on newegg so if you wouldn't mind browsing there for one and linking me to it, it'd be much appreciated. Also if this is in the wrong forum, I'll have it moved. Thanks.

I like this one. The main parts are:

Core Duo T2600 2.16GHz (You can definitely downgrade this to the T2500 or lower and save some $)
1GB DDR2 PC5300 RAM
100GB 5400RPM HDD
GeForce GO 7600
@ $1449 -140 for processor downgrade -5% (comes out to ~1245 w/free shipping [not sure about handling though])

or...

with the exact configuration as the one above, it comes out $5 less. The only difference is that this one has an X1600 instead of a GeForce 7600. 1.5x more shader operations, less bandwidth (just by a small margin). Either of these cards is alright, maybe get a few more opinions before deciding on which, unless you wanna go better of course.

I just really like cyberpower and recommend them for laptops. If you like something else better, that's fine, but I really like the video card/processor on these. Plus you can downgrade and save some $$$.

EDIT:
Or: (sorry for so many options...)
http://www.ibuypower.com/ibp/store/configurator.aspx?mid=188

Core Duo T2500 2.0GHz
1GB (512MBx2) DDR2 PC5300 RAM
100GB 5400RPM HDD
GeForce GO 7600GT

For $1307 - 5% discount & free shipping (but I think for some reason they charge for handling  )
Final: ~$1270-1280 (after "handling")
the vid card on this is better than the other two by a fair margin. should play a lot of games at mid/high settings :D
