Extra, Unidentified CD Drive

My vista Laptop is showing up an extra CD drive that definitely does not belong. It is equipped with a DVD drive, which shows up as expected. Storage devices connected to the laptop are an SD card, U3 device (which displays its own CD drive, as well as flash drive folder as expected), and external HDD. All these display regular performance, but I'm wondering where this CD drive comes from.

No image drives.

I'm a bit nervous as my Norton Firewall expired, but I've never heard of a root kit, virus, or any of the sort in the form of an extra CD drive.

There are plenty of programmes that create virtual drives e.g. Alcohol 120% does by default, installed anything lately?

I have that program, but not installed.
