ECC Memory Upgrade

I am looking to upgrade the memory on my Dell Precision 670. The computer currently has 2gbs of Ecc memory, what I need to know is if I take out the Ecc memory can I replace it with non-ecc memory or does the motherboard only support Ecc memory?

I know that if I am just adding to the memory I have to use Ecc memory but what if I want to completely replace all the memory in the computer?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

what are you using this computer for? you do know this is a server computer right?

The computer is being used as a workstation for video editing and graphics creation.

You should be able to use normal ram in that computer too as long as you take the ecc ram out. For what you are using the computer for ECC ram wouldn't be necessary.
