dvd burner

i just got one, and now im having troubles burning some movies onto it to watch in a dvd player.... i remember being able to do it with just a cdr, but it would only hold 700mb.. any ideas? or programs

What kind of troubles? U can't burn it? The dvd player doesn't want to play it? Something else?

get a free trial of nero.

well i dont need a free trial, theres always cracks... but my burner came with nero.. anyways my movies are a avi and mpg format, and i go to select it, and it says it is invalid file type...

yes ok so it says invalid file...what are u trying to burn onto the dvd-r? a data disc/iso disc/mixed?

which version of Nero you using? You may be in need of Nero Vision Express ... this is additional software with the Nero Suite of programs. NVE is what you use within Nero to take AVI's and mpegs and converts them to the correct format to burn and play on DVD.
