Do those of you who have laptops think that LoJack is worth getting? I've had a couple of people tell me that I ought to get it. I know that this is probably kind of weird, but something about it has always reminded me of an expensive piece of spyware. What are your opinions on this? If the guys at the LoJack command center have the Administrative abilities to clean erase the system if it is stolen, wouldn't they also have the ability to go through all of the files on a computer?
Also, I have heard that LoJack can be disabled by reinstalling the OS on some computers. While someone who is dumb enough to be a thief probably wouldn't be smart enough to do this, it does make me wonder if LoJack is even effective.
I would love to know about other people's experiences and opinions on this subject.
