Computer not booting up. Help!!

I just put this computer together and i turned it on and i stops at the part where it says "verifying dmi pool data............."

WHAT IS HAPPENING!?!?!

POST YOUR SPEC.
are you trying to install an o/s, if so which one?

300 gig hd

trying to install win xp pro

have you looked in the bios to make sure all is well in there?
you will need to set the boot priority set to cdrom first.

i have not touched my bios, but the first boot is cdrom and hdd then floppy ( i have no floppy frive)

i had another mobo before this one, but with the same hdd. can that be the problem?

I reforrmatted it, but at the end it said that was my error reformatting.

Hmmm... yeah that's a good thing to check first. Then of course, can you be sure the Hard Drive works?

yep, i am most sure that its my hdd. i am gonno return it for another one.
