everything seems compatible but... i don't see why you are picking such a low socket number.. if you're intent on intel why don't you get a lga775 or something? or if you're on budget you could try socket 939 from AMD
 
Get a LGA775 motherboard and processor. Then get some DDR2 RAM. For the motherboard, i highly recommend a 975x or 965x chipset. For the 975x chipsets, get either the Intel Bad Axe, DFI Infinity 975x, or the ASUS P5WDH.
 
I would still highly get a LGA775 processor. It is worth the money even for future upgrades.
 
If you want to save money, and spend as little as possible to get a decent PC, that one is fine. Just because it's an old socket doesn't mean its necessarily slow - you'll be able to play many new games at low detail, and it's not that bad.
