cloning/copying HDD

okay i have a Ribbon Cable (PATA?) 80 GB HDD in my old POS dell
and i want to designate it as my 360s media server basicly
but i want to slap in a bigger HDD
like a 500 GB HDD would be great
how can i copy the old HDD to the new one?
using the same exact software

You could do a disk-to-disk copy with a Ghost floppy if you have one. Clonezilla offers a disk-to-disk option as well, I think.

how could i transfer all of my files from my old 80 GB HDD with a PATA connection to a PATA 500 GB HDD?
and my old POS dell wont allow multiple HDDs
is there anyway that i could do it outside of a computer? with some kind of device?
