I have an insanely small budget but i need a comp in my room that can atleast play halo , my budget is around 450 (yes i know very low) some you guys spend that much on a video card. I dont need a moniter, keyboard mouse or any drives.

Here is my plans right now.
http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=11-145-026&depa=1 that case looks pretty cool IMO and its only 30 bucks

Processor and Mobo
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1190222&CatId=1232 Yes i know its a Celeron, even intel fans spit on the celeron but its good enough to play Halo and other fun games :( i wanted to get a Amd athlon XP 3200 based system but the processor is way over priced.

Graphics:
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=674963&CatId=318 XFX Ge Force FX5200 Gpu.

RAM:
http://www.newegg.com/app/viewproductdesc.asp?description=20-223-009&DEPA=0 I have heard good reviews on the this brand and its for a good price, i may end up doubling that to 1gig o ram

Cooling:http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=235452&CatId=795 Heres a good fan to cool that hot processor down.

Coolin 2: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=120565&sku=V13-4200 hehe here is a nice cooling pci card. I got 5 fans total one on side of case x2 on pci card, 1 on processor and one in power supply. , Any suggestions? I am open to anything except amd semprons my cousin is building a similiar system except using Sempron 3100.

ditch all of that stuff here this will be better

get a radeon 9600 pro or xt for around 110$ and just get a case that comes with a power supply and fans.

only thing is the chaintech mobo. I would still go with the barebones kit I gave you its a great deal 300$ for mobo, procesor, and memory. The system I gave you is going to be much faster but around 100$ over budget which prolly wont work. You ditch the video card I suggested and get that 30$ one and just save up for a new video card or somethin.

Yeah, but that Chaintech MOBO has GOOD reviews for once.... One of the only ones I WOULD TRUST. ANd that RAM pwns!! Plus, he gets an AMD64!

Good job Zen except one thing case and ram links dont work!!

and aCb's configurations look NICE! I would like a low profile pc tho, but desktop is fine too

i like what Zen is recommending except the video card.

Save that 67 dollars and go spend it on a more powerful GPU like a GF4 ti4600. Sure, it's an older generation, but it still has more performance than a fx5500.

an fx5500 is basically a buffed up fx5200. Not worth it in my opinion.
