I am looking to get a few certifications to go along with the degree that I am working on in college. I just wondering what most people have done and what are the most useful and most needed in the workplace. Thanks.
just learn the industry. Certifications help you get a job, experience and know-how help you keep it. Don't worry so much about certification, that should come last.
Do what you love best. It's not about getting certified in the most high paid field. If you're into Unix, get unix certified. If you like administration and networking, take a certification class for that. Don't let money fool ya.
You could try Uni like me (no college is fine) or you could try EDCEL I think that's what it's called. But the boys are right you find out what you like the most and get into it if you slack around your knoledge will become obselite in less than a year cause everything changes so fast.
