cd rom issues

sorry if this is already on here...

ok so ive just re installed windows on my pc and it diesnt show or seem to detect that i have a cd rom drive attached to my computer, when im in my computer it only shows me the floppy drive hard disk and control panel. ive found drivers for my cd rom and installed and then restarted but it has had no effect. the computer detects that i have a cd rom when it boots up, so does anyone have any idead or can anyone please help me?

If it is your only CD drive, make sure that it is on the last connector of the IDE cable. Also make sure that the jumper is set to master.
