My wife has a Toshiba Satellite laptop and recently her CD/DVD drive stopped working, it no longer shows up in my computer and in device manager there is a yellow that says code 39 there is no driver or the driver is corrupt blah blah, I have searched for a driver everywhere but cant get hold of one, I have tried system restore but that did not fix the problem, she hasn't used it for ages so I don't know when this occurred, also last week I took out her 512 stick of ram and replaced it with two 1g sticks, would changing this hardware have some how corrupted the CD/DVD drive and if so how do I rectify it. it is a MATSHITA DVD-RAM UJ-841S drive
