Yeah I can't wait. I have always wanted to learn about micro controllers.
Reading about them and not being able to use it or play with it has been killing me.

I am going to start with the "Get LED to blink". Haha..
But I was thinking of maybe doing something like a "3D" LED cube.

Like that just I will probably start with something much smaller.

I'm thinking maybe if I can get sound hooked into this thing I might be able to have it turn on certain lights depending on the dB and Hz.

just a section/screen of what one of my programs look like.

Not sure what exactly it is based on. But this is the software that you can download to work with an arduino board.

The open-source Arduino environment makes it easy to write code and upload it to the i/o board. It runs on Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux. The environment is written in Java and based on Processing, avr-gcc, and other open source software...Link
