cant update

this is brand new computer everytime i try to update it say it cant or that it lost conection to the server. i have tried it plugged in and with the wirelesscard still wont. also it will just randomly say that internet explore cant display the web page. it wont download anything it always gives a error. it also wont let you use the cd drivers to update. any ideas????

what OS are you running??

Can you download files from other websites ok??

Is internet browsing ok??

it was windows 7 and no i reused the code from my computer becuase it was a overly low budget build for my friend. when i first got my computer i did the same with win xp it worked fine just only lasted 30 days. so is that why?
