doe's the Acronis True Image HD, Disk Migration Utility that comes w/ the Adata SSD is this cloning software where I can plug in a external SSD and clone as a desitination disk?

Then remove from enclosure and install in PC.

Here's the enclosure I like

To answer your first question, usually not. I've never seen a 3.5 enclosure that could take a 2.5 drive and secure it properly.

Both SSDs are the same? Are you planning on storing recorded TV on a 64GB drive? That'll fill up fast.

Yes, the software would allow you (and probably requires you) to setup the new SSD as a destination drive which you would then be able to slap into the computer and boot from after the cloning is done.

actalley installing the 2.5"SSD into the 3.5" enclosure would be a tempuary install just to complete the cloning process for the Lap tops SSD

I probablley should has asked will the SSD's SATA and SATA power plug into the 3.5" enclosure?

woops my bad on the same links both SSD's are Adata the LT will get the 256GB and the HTPC (TV recorder will get the 64GB) HTPC's SSD will only be for OS I have plently of HDD storage drives.

I have a license key for Windows 7 and have downlowed W& however I'm concerned about how to go about installing all the current drivers like doe's each piece of hardware have a driver and like I must update each one?

This is why I'm concidering the clone.

Thanks STB
