call of duty 2 voice chat

i got a usb microphone, and i cant seem to get it to work with call of duty 2. its installed and everything, but it doesnt pick up any voice in the game when i press "Z". the servers i play on are all voice chat enabled, so it should work. when i got to the "options" menu in the game, it doesnt pick up any sound either. how do i make it work?

dude, the mic works for windows, just not for call of duty 2

There might be a patch for the game that fixes that problem.
